Employees from Thales UK’s Templecombe site have handed over a cheque for more than £1,500 to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance service. Templecombe’s Gerald Bradley, Chris Brown and Colin Shrimpton handed over the cheque to the air ambulance crew at Henstridge airfield in Somerset.
Annette Plaistow-Trapaud, fundraising coordinator for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance service, was also at Henstridge for the cheque presentation. She says: “We believe fundraising is about building relationships as well as raising crucial funds. We are a local charity and unlike many national charities rely on the support of the local people.”
She concluded: “We pride ourselves on being a charity that supports its ‘supporters’, and in doing so would like to thank all the people within Thales UK for not only raising the awareness of the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance, but also raising a superb amount of money.”
